Khaki and pink – an unexpected color combo

Olen aiemminkin kirjoittanut, että jotkut parhaista yhdistelmistä syntyvät sattumalta, ja niin syntyi myös pinkin neuletakin ja khakinväristen farkkujen liitto. Yhdistelmä ei ehkä olisi tullut muuten mieleeni, mutta huomasin kuinka yllättävän hyvin se toimii näiden vaatteiden lojuessa vierekkäin sängylläni. Värit ja niiden yhdisteleminen innostavat minua ylipäätään pukeutumisessa kaikista eniten. Vaikka välillä onkin mukava pukeutua seesteiseen harmaaseen ja mustaan – ja välillä tulee "pakosta" pukeuduttua niin, kun esim. värillisiä päällysvaatteita on vaikea löytää – niin värit ovat kyllä ehdottomasti mun juttu. Tähänkin asuun tykästyin erikoisen väriyhdistelmän vuoksi niin paljon, että menin sillä useamman päivän viime viikolla.

Niin, ja löytyihän ne viime talvesta asti etsimäni khakit farkut viimein! Jälleen H&M:ltä ja täytyy mainita, että olen ollut kovin tyytyväinen heidän farkkuihinsa. Vuosi sitten en omistanut vielä yksiäkään "Henkkamaukan" farkkuja, mutta sittemmin niitä on kertynyt nelisen kappaletta. Tykkään heidän skinny low-mallistaan, lahkeet ovat sopivan kapoiset, vyötärö tulee juuri sille kohdalle, mille haluankin ja istuvuus sekä mukavuus ovat kohdallaan.

The "I-don't-wanna-admit-it's-winter-so-I'll-just-keep-wearing-leather-jackets" theme continues. I wrote in the summer how some of the best combinations come about by chance and it was chance that brought my khaki jeans and pink fluffy cardigan together. I would have never thought to pair these two colors, but when I saw both garments lying on my bed side by side, I noticed how well this unexpected color combo actually works. Colors overall are what inspires me the most stylewise. Though I sometimes feel like dressing in grey and black – and sometimes I dress in them because I "have to", as for example colorful outerwear is hard to find – colors are definitely my thing. The unusual colors made me like this outfit so much that I wore it for a few days last week.

And yes, I finally found those khaki jeans I'd been looking for since last winter! They're from H&M, yet again, and I gotta say I've been very pleased with their jeans. A year ago I'd never owned a pair, but since then I've bought four! I love their skinny low cut, the legs are just narrow enough, the waist sits exactly where I want it to and the fit and the comfort are great.

Vyöksi kietaisin leopardikuvioisen kirjekuorilaukkuni irroitettavan hihnan. Yritän yleensä vältellä kullan ja hopean yhdistämistä samaan asuun, mutta tämä ainut kapea musta "vyöni" vain sopi kokonaisuuteen parhaiten. Joskus pitää rikkoa näitä tyyli"sääntöjä"!

To tie up the chunky cardigan, I used the detachable strap from my leopard print clutch as a belt. I usually try to avoid combining gold and silver in the same outfit, but this only thin black "belt" of mine simply was the best choice for this ensemble. Sometimes you just have to overlook these style "rules"!
