Wedding outfit with tropical green accents

Eilen tanssittiin ystäväni häitä ja päivä oli kokonaisuudessaan todella ihana. Morsian oli kaunis, sulhanen komea, juhlissa ei aika käynyt pitkäksi, ruoka oli hyvää ja ennenkaikkea hauskaa oli! Raotin asuvalintaani jo hieman edellisessä postauksessa, mutta tässäpä vielä eilinen asu päällä. Harmaanruskean romanttisen pitsimekon olen ostanut Vilasta jo neljä vuotta sitten ja pidän siitä yhä hurjasti. Toiveissa oli kyllä uusi mekko häihin ja haaveilin jostain värikkäästä ihanuudesta, mutta kun sellaista ei löytynyt niin tämä oli varma valinta. Kokonaisuuden kruunasi viime hetkillä tilaamani vihreä kirjekuorilaukku ja se toi onneksi haikailemani värin tähän asuun. Jalassa olivat Zaran myöskin neljä vuotta vanhat beiget mokkaiset korkkarit. Kirkossa minulla oli toki harteilla vielä vanhan roosan värinen huivi, joka ei tallentunut kuviin. Asukuvat nappaistiin muutenkin lähtötohinassa noin minuutissa, joten laatu on mitä on.

Yesterday we celebrated my friend's wedding and the day as a whole was absolutely lovely! The bride was beautiful, the groom handsome, the party flowed smoothly, the food was great and most of all, we all had a lot of fun! I already showed you some details of my outfit in my previous post, but here's the outfit on me. I've bought the romantic taupe lace dress from Vila four years ago already and I still love it. I was kinda hoping to find a new dress though and I was dreaming of some colorful beauty, but as I didn't find such dress, this was a safe choice. The final touch was added by the green clutch that I ordered last minute and fortunately it brought the perfect dose of color that I was longing for. The beige suede shoes from Zara are also four years old. In the church I naturally also had a dusty pink scarf covering my shoulders that didn't end up in any photos. The outfit photos were taken in a rush anyway, so the quality is what it is.

Mekko on a-linjainen, mutta pituus ja röyhelöt tekevät siitä jotenkin raskaan oloisen käytettäväksi sellaisenaan, joten olen aina käyttänyt sen kanssa vyötä. Pari vuotta sitten leveät vyöt olivat se juttu, mutta nyt halusin jotain siroa ja kapeaa, jota minulta ei tietenkään löytynyt. Kunnes hoksasin, että laukun irroitettava olkahihna menee juuri tasan kahteen kertaan vyötäröni ympärille! Eikä tarvinnut edes huolehtia sopiiko vyö väreiltään asuun... Jottei homma menisi ihan liian matchy-matchyksi, lakkasin varpaankynteni korallilla ja ranteeseen pääsi oranssia ja kultaa yhdistävä rannekoru. Osasyynä koruvalintaan oli tosin sekin, ettei minulta löydy kovin montaa kultaista korua ja laukun sekä "vyön" metalliosat olivat kultaisia, joten niillä kultaisille mentiin mitä oli.

The dress has an a-line shape, but the length and the ruffles make it a bit heavy looking to be worn on it's own, so I've always used a belt with it. A couple of years ago wide belts were the thing, but now I wanted something narrow and petite, which I of course didn't have. Until I realised that I can wrap the detachable strap of the bag exactly twice around my waist! And I didn't even have to worry about the belt fitting in colorwise... To avoid being too matchy-matchy I painted my toenails coral and had an orange and gold bracelet on my wrist. Part of the reason for the choice of jewelry was that I hardly own any gold jewelry and the hardware of the bag and the "belt" are golden, so I just had to go with the golden ones that I own.

Hiuksiin yritin kehitellä YouTube-tutoriaalien avustuksella jonkinmoista puoliksi kiinni olevaa, half updo kampausta, mutta koska tukkatumpelolta se ei luonnistunut, hyödynsin jälleen kerran maailman helpointa kesäkampausta nyt nutturan kera. Yksi ystävistäni muuten potee sen verran kovaa hääkuumetta, että mikäli sulhanen vain tajuaa kosia, on seuraavat häät luvassa kahden vuoden kuluttua. Pitääpä varmaan ruveta jo katselemaan potentiaalisia mekkoja sillä silmällä...

For my hair I tried to come up with some sort of a half updo with the help of YouTube tutorials, but as I'm absolutely useless at doing my hair, I of course failed, so I resorted to the world's easiest hairdo once again, this time with a bun. By the way, one of my friends is suffering from a high wedding fever and if only her fiance realises to propose, the next wedding will be in two years. I should probably start eyeing some dresses already just in case...
