Ai että, nyt tuntuu, että voisin pukeutua tähän asuun aina! Tai jos ainakin koko tulevan talven? Joka ei ehkä ole kovin kaukana totuudesta, sen verran ahkerasti käytän niitä samoja asuja läpi talven.
Jokunen päivä sitten hississä sympaattinen naapurinrouva intoutui yllättäen kehumaan tätä asua maasta taivaaseen, oli niin nätti takki ja hattu, ja jalatkin näytti niin pitkiltä. Mikähän siinä onkin, että kehuja saadessa menee aina niin lukkoon? Toki olin ihan otettu ja kiittelin kauniisti enkä sentään aloittanut sitä perinteistä "eihän tämä nyt mitenkään kummoinen..." vähättelyä. Mutta tämän hissikohtaamisen jälkeen olin viimeistään ihan vakuuttunut, että asusta voisi tulla alkutalven univormuni.
Ylipolvensaappaat on siis jälleen kaivettu esiin ja voi miten niitä rakastankaan! Parhaat saappaat ikinä - mukavat, kauniit, näyttävät ja ihanan pehmoisen ja lämpöisen näköiset, kiitos nupukkipinnan. On tuossa nupukissa vaan se huono puoli, etten kyllä uskalla käyttää saappaita sateella enkä lumihangessa, joten näistä pitää nyt nauttia ennen lumen tuloa.
Ja kesän alennusmyynneistä ostamani viininpunainen laukku on minun silmääni juuri se täydellinen hillitty väriläiskä klassisen kamelin ja mustan rinnalle. Laukku on aika iso ja näytti vielä lämpimien syyspäivien kevyissä kokonaisuuksissa turhankin isolta. Olin jo vähän huolissani, etten ehkä osaa enää käyttää isoja laukkuja, kun kesän huitelin niissä pikkulaukuissa. Mutta paksun talvitakin ja pitkien saappaiden kanssa mittasuhteet ovat juuri oikeat tälle laukulle. Ja pointsit laukku saa paitsi siitä, että mahduttaa helposti järjestelmäkamerani sisäänsä, myös maailman helpoimmasta kiinnityssysteemistä. ASOS kuvaili laukkua "lääkärinlaukuksi" ja se tosiaan suljetaan yhdellä napilla, mutta menee silti tiiviisti kiinni (vihaan laukkuja, jotka jäävät päältä auki) ja on jopa helpompi käyttää kuin perinteiset vetoketjut.
Siinä siis tämän viikon univormuni, alla tietysti se kamelinvärinen kashmir-neule. Nauttikaapa sunnuntai-illasta, ja mahtavaa alkavaa viikkoa myös!
Really, can I wear this forever? No? How about for all of this winter then? That might not be too far from the truth anyway, I really don't own a whole lot of winter garments to choose from, so I usually end up wearing the same few outfits throughout the winter.
A few days ago I got some surprising compliments from the lovely old lady who lives in the same building, she told me how the coat and the hat were so pretty and how my legs looked so long. Why is it that I'm always completely lost for words when I get compliments? Of course I was completely flattered and kept saying thank you, but I just can't act natural getting compliments. I get all shy, but at least I didn't resort to that "but this isn't all that special anyway...", so that's an improvement. But that moment in the elevator made me even more convinced that this could be my early winter uniform.
As you can see, my over the knee boots have come out to play again and I love them soooo much! Honestly, the best boots ever - so comfy, so sophisticated yet bold, and the nubuck gives them such a perfect, soft and warm look. The only downside is that nubuck is quite delicate, so I daren't wear them in the rain or snow, so I gotta enjoy them now before the snow sets in.
And finally, this burgundy bag I scored from the late summer sales, is the perfect subtly colorful finish to a classic camel and black ensemble. The bag is quite big and to be honest, it looked a bit too big in the light outfits of the warm early autumn. I was a bit concerned that maybe I'm over big bags now, after really getting into smaller bags during the summer. But with a thick winter coat and long boots, the proportions are just right for a big bag. Another thing I love about the bag is how practical it is. Not only does it easily fit in my huge DSLR camera, but the fastening is certainly the easiest of all of my bags. It was described as a doctor's bag on the ASOS website, it has a single button clasp, but closes tightly (I hate bags that stay open at the top) and is even easier to use than the usual zips.
So that was my uniform of the week, underneath the coat was of course my camel cashmere sweater. I wish you all a fantastic new week!
