Tiistaina oli kesä, mutta eilen keskiviikkona surin viilenemistä pukeutumalla minulle epätavalliseen tyyliin mustaan. Pienellä blingillä höystettynä tosin. Aika särmikäs asu minulle, en nimittäin osaa lainkaan mieltää omaa luonnollisen huoletonta olemustani särmikkäisiin kokonaisuuksiin sopivaksi...
Mutta olipa kiva ottaa taas musta nahkatakkini käyttöön talven jäljiltä! Siitä on kohta vuosi, kun metsästin takin eBaystä, muistan sen saapuneen vappuaattona, vai kenties vappuaatonaattona? Olin jo pitkään etsiskellyt mustaa nahkatakkia, kriteereinä aito nahka (tottakai!), naisellinen ja siro malli, muttei liian "perus". Ihastelin tätä Zaran yksilöä useamman kerran jo kaupassa, mutta lähes parin sadan hinta tuntui turhan kovalta. En edes sovittanut takkia, koska Zarassa oli silloin käytössä nahkatakeille sellainen varashälytinsysteemi, että olisi pitänyt pyytää myyjää irroittamaan se sovitusta varten ja kun en kuitenkaan ollut ostoaikeissa hinnan vuoksi... No, jälkikäteen rupesi harmittamaan ja olin vakuuttunut, että juuri se takki olisi ollut se oikea. Nelisen kuukautta sitä eBayssä etsiskelin kunnes löysin sen käyttämättömänä ja kohtuulliseen reilun satasen hintaan. Jännittyneissä tunnelmissa odotin takin saapumista ja aluksi en ollut ihan satavarma istuvuudesta. Mutta näin vuotta myöhemmin olen täysin rakastunut tuohon takkiin! Ehkäpä se on vähän muotoutunutkin kropalleni kuten nahalla on tapana tehdä. Ihan täysi kymppi mielestäni!
Nahkatakin ohella päältä löytyi toisetkin suosikit, vahapintaiset farkut, ja pientä piristystä synkkyyteen toi kirjailtu svetari. En ihan täysillä ihastunut viime syksynä velloneeseen svetaritrendiin, mutta kun kohdalle osui näin omannäköinen yksilö, niin pakkohan se oli vihdoin alennusmyynnistä ostaa. Upea lilahtava harmaan sävy ja kauniit kirjailut! Ja hei, avokaskausikin on nyt korkattu, ihanaa!
On Tuesday we had a glimpse of summer here, but yesterday I mourned the dropping temperatures by wearing something very unusual by my standards, black! With a bit of bling to spice things up. The outfit was quite edgy for me as somehow I have a hard time thinking of my look as edgy and don't think I can pull off any too dramatic look...
But it was great to be back in my black leather jacket after the winter! It's soon a year since I hunted the jacket down from eBay. I'd been looking for a black leather jacket for years, with a feminine cut and an interesting, detailed look in mind, in genuine leather of course. This Zara jacket was one that already caught my eye when it was in stores, but priced at nearly €200, it was a little out of my price range. I never even tried it on, because then Zara was using these kinds of alarms where you would have needed to ask a sales assistant if you would have liked to try it on and I wasn't about to buy it anyway... Well, afterwards I realized it would have probably been the one, so after four months of browsing eBay for it, I finally found it unworn and for a reasonable price. I was still pretty nervous about buying it and when I received it I wasn't so sure of the fit. But now, a year later I'm completely in love with this baby! Maybe the leather has molded a bit to fit my body shape too.
Another favorite in this outfit is the pair of wax-coated skinny jeans, whereas the embellished sweatshirt brings a bit of softness alongside an otherwise all-black ensemble. The sweatshirt trend of last autumn had me a bit wary, but when I found this one that just screamed "me!", I couldn't resist for long and bought it as soon as I found it on sale. I love this lilacish shade of grey as well as the beautiful embellishments. And hey, pumps season is now officially here and I'm so happy about that!
